My daughter, please borrow me your time.
A brighter future for you l want to build.
A better tomorrow l want to seed.
So that your stomach you can feed.

My daughter may l steal your time.
In your future like to invest.
Your tomorrow l would like  to settle.
Dear, there is no tomorrow without books.
There is no future without education.

l don't want to be like my fathers.
Deprive you of a powerful weapon.
Not equipping you with enough weapons to fight the world.
My daughter please give me some of your time.
l know this may sound unfair but  it is for the best.
lt is for your future.
it is for your Tommorow.

Daughter, please l don't want you to be like me.
l don't want your children to be like you.
I wish this phase of life to be history.
All this to just be a story.
My daughter please borrow me some of your time.

Please understand, in life there are street dogs.
Who keep on barking at every dress they see.
There are like flowers, which seem beautiful from afar but they will prick you with their thorns once you try to pluck them out.
There are the cutest animals you may think of but have big teeth that are not seen.
They come as lf they love you but they want to gain something from you.
At this time, no one will tell you that they love you more than l your parent.
That's a lie, it is not temporary or permanent.
My daughter l have lived life two times more than you.
l know it's ways and all its consequences.

There are many Pauls out there they will dig you down the pit.
Some make you a meal in a black holed pot.
At that time no one will feel pity for you.
All they will say is " she dug her own pit".
Daughter, please listen to your father.
l have the best interests in mind.
Choose the right path in life.

Your time will come.
Yes, your time to shine will come, and you will shine like a star.
You will be the shooting star.
The star of the season.
Don't run my dear, just walk in your own pace.

During my National Youth Service, I encountered a series of terrifying snake encounters that would change my perspective on life.
